How we work
How HealthFix researches, writes, sources, reviews, and corrects everything we publish.
HealthFix is written by our editorial team. We are researchers and writers, not clinicians.
We say that plainly because it shapes what we publish. We do not invent authors, and we do not put fake credentials on our work. Every article carries the same byline: the HealthFix editorial team.
Since we do not hold clinical credentials, our value has to come from somewhere else. It comes from careful sourcing, honest reporting of what the evidence does and does not show, and clear writing.
We build articles from high-quality sources, and we link to them so you can check our work.
Sources we rely on:
We do not use content farms, marketing pages, or supplement sellers as sources. We do not cite a study we have not read.
Much of health research is unsettled. Studies are small, or they disagree, or they were done in a group that may not match you.
When that is the case, we say so. You will see phrases like "evidence is limited," "small studies suggest," and "results are mixed" on this site. They are there because they are true.
Overstating a finding would make an article read better and serve you worse. We would rather be useful.
These limits are fixed. They apply to every article.
We write for a reader who wants to understand something, not to be sold something.
Every article is checked against its sources before it goes live. We look at claims, links, and whether the hedging matches the strength of the evidence.
We review articles again on a set schedule, and sooner when major new evidence appears or guidance changes.
We update the last-modified date only when the content actually changes. We do not refresh dates to look current.
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix it.
If you find an error, send it to us through the contact page. Point to the article and the specific claim. We will check it against the source.
If a correction changes the meaning of an article, we note the change on the page rather than editing quietly.
We plan to show display advertising on this site to pay for the work.
Advertisers have no say in what we cover or what we conclude. Ad content is not chosen or endorsed by our editorial team. If we ever add affiliate links, we will label them clearly on the page.
