About
HealthFix exists because most health writing online sounds more certain than the research behind it. We are trying to do the opposite.
Before this page goes live, add the name of the person or company that owns and operates HealthFix, plus a sentence on why they started it. Search quality reviewers and AdSense both look for a real, identifiable operator behind a health site.
HealthFix publishes plain-language information about sleep. We cover how sleep works, what helps, what the evidence for each thing looks like, and where that evidence stops.
We write for adults who are dealing with an everyday sleep problem and want to understand it properly, rather than collect another list of tips.
Going deep on one subject beats going shallow on many. A site that covers everything ends up repeating the same surface-level material that already exists.
Sleep is also a good fit for what we can responsibly write about. Most of what helps people sleep is behavioural: timing, light, routine, environment, and how you respond when you cannot sleep. That is information we can source and explain without stepping into clinical territory.
Articles are written and reviewed by the HealthFix editorial team. We are researchers and writers.
We are not doctors, dietitians, or sleep clinicians, and we do not claim to be. You will not find a fabricated medical byline or a stock photo of someone in a white coat on this site. Every article carries the same honest byline.
We think saying that plainly is worth more than a credential we do not have.
Here is what we are actually good at, and what we are not.
When a question crosses that line, we say so in the article and point you to a professional. That happens more often than you might expect, and we would rather lose the click than fake the answer.
We build articles from peer-reviewed research and high-authority health bodies: PubMed, the National Institutes of Health, Cochrane, the CDC, the World Health Organization, and major medical centers.
Every claim links to its source, so you can check us. Our full process, including how we review and correct articles, is on the Editorial Policy page.
We plan to run display advertising. Advertisers get no say in what we cover or what we conclude, and we do not accept sponsored articles or paid links.
If we ever add affiliate links, they will be labelled on the page where they appear.
We will make mistakes. When you spot one, send it to us with the article link and the specific claim, and we will check it against the source.
You can reach the editorial team through the contact page.
